The 37th Sacramento Scandinavian Festival scheduled for

April 18, 2020 is canceled

In response to the public health and safety concerns related to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 37th Sacramento Scandinavian Festival scheduled for April 18th has been canceled.   The President’s invoking of the Stafford Act and declaring a national emergency regarding COVID-19 and the California governor’s March 11th decree in coordination with state and local public health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are all recommending cancellation or postponement of public and private events with an expected attendance of more than 100 people in order to implement social distancing and limit large gatherings and we are following that guidance.

While we are sad to announce this cancellation, we do so for the well-being of our community, guests, volunteers and committee staff.  We thank you for your continued support and your understanding during these tumultuous times.

We hope to see you next year for the 38th Sacramento Scandinavian Festival on Saturday, April 17th, 2021.
